True Grain began in a place that mattered most to me. My home.
Like many mothers, I wanted to feed my child food that was nourishing, honest, and safe. A simple, everyday meal made from real ingredients. But despite searching extensively, I could not find a children’s health mix that felt truly authentic. Most products contained additives, sweeteners, malt, or ingredients I did not fully trust.
So I turned to tradition.
Together with my mother-in-law, I created a blend in our kitchen using traditional Indian grains, millets, pulses, and nuts. We followed age-old methods of slow roasting and grinding, preparing it exactly the way it had been done in our family for generations. I fed this blend to my son every day, confident that I knew precisely what was going into his body.
That recipe became the foundation of True Grain.
As I began sharing this blend with friends and family, a larger reality became clear. Many parents, especially those not living in joint families, struggle to meet their children’s daily nutritional needs while balancing busy modern lives. They want the nourishment of traditional home food, but they need it in a form that is trustworthy, convenient, and consistent.
